A Message from our CEO
In my 40 years working in the behavioral health industry, I’ve had the privilege of residing in New Hampshire, Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky and now Pennsylvania. No matter where I have worked, there is one constant that appears throughout: the women and men who work in this field are the most dedicated, empathetic, selfless and professional people you will find.
Since June of 2019 it has been my privilege to be seated as the Chief Executive Officer of the KeyStone Center. It had been an ambition of mine to work for Universal Health Services, a revered leader in behavioral health, for a number of years. When the opportunity presented itself, I leapt. For the first time in many years I feel totally supported by the executive leadership. This is what I was told to expect and sure enough, it’s true. I’m proud to say KeyStone Center is guided by and follows the mission, set forth by UHS.
KeyStone Center is committed to provide the highest quality care. We subscribe to a patient-centered model, using only evidence-based modalities and best practices. The days of “one size fits all” and 28 day length of stay are well behind us. Each patient brings their own unique situations, issues and addictions to treatment. The patients we welcome as guests are different than in years before. Many have underlying psychiatric and or mood disorder problems. A vast majority are poly-drug users, making the medical aspect of treatment ever so complex. It takes a true team of well-trained professionals to create and deliver the best possible treatment plans, under these challenging circumstances. The KeyStone Center has such professionals, working hand and glove with one another. It is refreshing to say that every employee knows their role—be it clinical, administrative or support services—to regenerate our patients physical, mental and spiritual health and restore their dignity. That’s our goal each and every day. I’m so proud and blessed to lead such an incredible collection of professionals and so proud to be the steward of KeyStone Center.
