Key Recovery offers one-on-one therapy to individuals struggling with compulsive gambling. Those with compulsive gambling may have a co-occurring psychiatric issue, such as depression, substance abuse, or anxiety, just like those with addiction.
An individual may be referred to our psychiatrist for a medication evaluation and subsequent medication visits. Compulsive gambling becomes a family systems issue and family therapy is important to the therapeutic process. The family may need assistance with a financial plan of action and plans for how finances should be monitored moving forward. If insurance does not cover gambling treatment, Key Recovery is contracted with the state to provide outpatient gambling treatment to individuals who cannot afford the treatment or individuals who are denied for treatment by their insurance company. We will also assist clients in learning the supportive services available to gamblers like Gamblers Anonymous, Gamanon and the state “Self Exclusion” program.
